Introducing watering jugs! Not only are these aesthetically pleasing to have just hanging around your space, but they are also great tools for watering your plants!
This jug is topped with a jade green glaze and adorned on the sides with various pairs of cherries and little red hearts.
These jugs have holes in the bottom, similar to a shower head, and an opening at the top perfect to place your thumb. You can put your fingers through the circular handle for extra support as you water.
HOW THEY WORK! Take your jug and completely submerge it in water, with the opening facing up. I usually do this by using a bucket or a sink full of water. Keep the watering jug submerged until all the air bubbles are released, you may want to change the angle a bit to make sure any trapped air bubbles get out. Next, place your thumb or finger over the top opening (imagine you are a kid, plugging the top of your straw as you trap your drink inside). Move it over your thirsty plant and release your thumb/finger, and the water will start flowing! SCIENCE! You can place your finger back on the hole to stop the stream if you want.
I'm not claiming this is the most efficient way to water your plants, but it sure is fun and meditative. Plus, the jugs look so cute in any indoor or outdoor space! One of a kind, there is no other watering jug just like this
